City survey excursion – The Historical Square, where the main plant of the Urals was founded in 1723, along the oldest waterworks in the city – the dam of the first plant and the granite embankment of the city pond. The tourists will see the main city square with the monument to Lenin, the leader of the Soviet Russia, visit the places associated with the first Russian president – Boris Yeltsin. The modern megalopolis combines ornate merchant mansions dating back to the time of the “gold rush” (XIX century) with modern shopping centres, theatre districts and universities. The capital of the Urals appears different to everyone.

Walking tour – walking tour around the historical centre of Yekaterinburg: The Historical Square along the dam on Isset and the embankment of the city pond. The tourists will see the “rock garden” from the Ural deposits and visit the exhibition of the Ural industrial equipment (XIX – XX centuries). The official part of the city is represented by the City Hall and the Governor’s residence. The route runs through the central districts, green boulevards, and bustling business streets.

Sightseeing tour ‘To the border between the two continents’ begins in the eastern part of the city and goes to the west along the Great Siberian (Moskovsky) highway to the obelisk ‘Europe-Asia boundary’ installed at the geographical border of the two continents. The borderline inlayed with the Ural stones is so narrow that the tourists have an opportunity to take photos with one leg in Asia and the other in Europe! On its way the group stops at the Memorial to the victims of Stalin’s repressions of 1930-50-s and the honorary monument where the ‘godfathers’ of the Yekaterinburg mafia belonging to the period of anarchy of 1992-1994 are buried.

We recommend to combine it with the city survey excursion. At the very border every tourist will have a surprise glass of champagne. Included in the cost.

Sightseeing tour "The last days of the last Russian tzar" including a visit to the Cathedral on the Blood erected on the place of execution of the last tzar Nikolai II and his family. Then the tourists go to Ganina Yama – a unique orthodox monastery erected on the original burial place of the tzar family. There one can see and visit seven wooden churches built in the Old Russian style, put up candles in front of the wonderworking icons, stand in front of the Penitential cross (Pokayanny crest) and stroll through the picturesque pine-birch forest. We recommend to combine it with the Guided tour “To the border between the two continents”.

‘Who is happy in Russia?’ – A tour to a small Russian village, where a grandpa and a grandma live in a cottage with a root and a cellar singing folk songs, pulling out the turnip, stroking their Murka, and welcoming guests. On their way to another welcoming home the tourists will take a trip on a fishing boat, learn about the Ural gems and visit a Russian bathhouse. After a picnic in the forest they will make another visit to the owner of a real wooden tower who is making a unique collection of ancient furniture, homeware and household utensils.
Picnic and lunch in the village with homemade wine and cakes along with picnic in the forest are included in the cost.

A guided tour to Nevyansk ‘The origins of the Siberian wealth’ the capital of Demidov’s “empire”, the ancient city of Nevyansk. The tourists will see the leaning tower built in the XVIII century, insight into the secrets of the Russian history, whether false coins were really forged, whether gold was illegally mined in Siberia, and many other even more amazing facts… In the village of Tavolgi, which has always been famous for its pot makers, the tourists will have a traditional Ural dinner with pancakes (bliny) and crock pot meat stew. Here the guests can make a vase, a pot or a clay whistle out of a lump of clay on the spinning wheel… The guests always take the items produced as a keepsake.

А guided tour to Polevskoy “Inside the Siberian ores” -  crosses the Europe-Asia border near the southern obelisk and runs southwards to the place of birth of all the stories and legends about the Ural mountains – the urban district Polevskoy. According to the legends, in the middle of the ancient mountain covered by the century-old pines there lives a Hostess of the Copper Mountain (Khozyaika Mednoy Gory). She does not show herself to everybody, and those whom she chooses she awards with fabulous bounty, as her land comprises innumerable deposits of malachite, emeralds and gold… From time immemorial, people were mining here such gems as rhodonite, jasper, amethyst and marble. Fairy-tale writer Pavel Bazhov described these places in his famous novel “Malakhitovaya Shkatulka” (The Malachite Box). The tourists will visit one of the first Ural settlements, a cave in the Dumnaya gora, the first blast-furnace hearth in the Urals, a magnificent museum of the regional history and maybe even meet the Hostess of the Copper Mountain…

Guided tour to Koptelovo township “Life in the Old Russia”. The tour will take our guests to the old Ural village Koptelovo; founded in the XVII century, it still preserves its original way of living. In an old Russian nail-less log house the tourists will find a real Russian stove, wooden lulka (cradle) for a child, samovars (tea-urns), oven forks, sledges and many other things. On their way there the tourists will visit a stable yard, take a sledge-ride across the village, taste the Ural sweet buns (shangi) cooked according to the receipt of our grandmas. And the old Ural songs won’t leave anybody indifferent.

Guided tour to N. Sinyachikha “5 centuries in one day” allows an insight into the 500-year-long history of the Russian lifestyle since foundation of the first plants and Old Believer settlements until nowadays. The open-air museum of wooden architecture of N. Sinyachikha keeps the unique collection of the Ural decorative painting on wood: wall fragments with images of birds of paradise, shutters painted with outlandish animals. The tourists will visit the house where the great Russian composer Petr Tchaikovsky spent his childhood, stop at the Spaso-Preobrazhensky cathedral (XVIII century) involved in the tragic revolutionary events, visit the monastery erected on the site of the derelict mine, whereto the Great Princes Romanov were thrown for bearing the tzar name.
